The Museums Association (MA) Annual Conference & Exhibition is the essential event in the museums and heritage calendar. If you work in or with museums, in whatever capacity, it is the one event you should always attend.

This year’s conference takes place against a bleak economic backdrop. Budget cuts, staff reductions and closures have affected the whole sector. But the flip side is bigger audiences, more lottery money and a chance to think creatively about what we do.

Conference themes concentrate on how we can work collectively to survive the new austerity. Next Top Model looks at how we can reimagine museums, from new governance models to commissioning and smarter working. Innovation explores approaches to engaging audiences, raising extra cash and reinvigorating displays.
